Registration for the November 30th – December 1st 2018 Hackathon by the Sea is now open!

This event sold out last year and is a very popular event.  Space is limited to the first 200 students who register!

What is Hackathon by the Sea?

A 21 hour overnight event, in which teams “hack” together to engage in collaborative computer programming and create awesome projects that MAKE TOMORROW BETTER.

The event is run by VCOE and is an amazing event that provides experiences and skills taught by and organized by skilled professionals.

What if you don’t know how to code?

It’s OK! Skills and techniques will be taught to all participants.

Who should attend?

·Open to all students in grades 9th-12th in Ventura County, all experience levels welcomed!

What if students don’t own a laptop?

·We have partnered with STS Education to ensure that laptops are available to check out on the day of the event (these laptops come preloaded with all the latest hardware)

What will students learn?

·Team work and collaboration

·Creating an MVP (Minimum viable product)

·Project management

·45 minute beginner-advanced workshops in programming languages and hardware are available throughout the event. Below are some examples of last year’s workshops (Taught by tech professionals and educators)
