What is Bootcamp? Now in its tenth year, Bootcamp consists of eight intensive 3-hour sessions taught by College Applications Educator, Cecilia E. Johnston. These sessions cover all aspects of the college application process, including organization, college choice strategies, college and scholarship applications, essay guidance and review, college admissions offers and financial aid. The sessions will occur in April and May of your Junior year and approximately once a month starting August of your Senior year. The sessions are timed to coincide with various application deadlines related to colleges, financial aid, scholarships, etc.
Who is it for?High School Seniors and their parents. (Students from all Ventura County/Santa Barbara area schools and homeschoolers are welcome.)
When and where is it?You may choose the Series that typically works best with your schedule (regardless of what high school you attend). If you miss a class, you may attend one of the other 2 public sessions happening that month, as the sessions are all on the same schedule.
How much does it cost? For the Class of 2019 Series, a donation of $40 is requested per family per session (or $320 per family when paying for the full 8-session series). Pay what you can when you can, no family will be turned away for inability to pay. (Note: Your donations help us cover the cost of facility rental, materials and handouts, and research time.) Donations may be made at the sessions with cash or check or securely via PayPal.
